When I researched the plant, I found out its name was Spotted Knapweed. On the positive side, “Spotted knapweed has medical benefits. It has been used to heal wounds, as a snakebite remedy, and as an appetite stimulant. And while this might not make it into your medicine cabinet just yet, extracts from the plant have been shown t have some effects fighting cancer”. According to the article, it is also a nutritious forage for livestock.  On the down side, it’s highly invasive, and for some people, that, alone would land it forever on their “undesirable” list.
