Painted Lady Butterflies
I painted "Painted Lady Butterflies" from some photos I took in mid September on a sunny/windy day. In addition to the painted ladies, there were monarchs and some others. All of them were super-focused on getting nectar, so they stayed close to the same plant as I approached, instead of fleeing away. I hope this picture gives you the feeling of standing in a field full of flowers with the soft wind blowing on your face, and the sun shining down.
