Fleeing the Dawn
I call this Fleeing the Dawn, because being nocturnal birds, owls do all their hunting at night and roost during the day. The little house was at the end of a dead end gravel road, and surrounded by fields, and some remaining farm buildings. It was in the Mixie, Tennessee area, but has been torn down. My mother spent the first three years of her life there. An owl flying over a dwelling has different meanings depending on the culture. It also matters which side the owl flies over.
